Imagine God planning the universe, intending to make the field of his great interest the world he would make. He envisioned establishing a kingdom for His Son, and in his own mind he populated that kingdom with people of his own choice to become his adopted children through the Son for the praise of his glorious grace.
You are among those he chose to bless in Christ who would redeem you, forgiving every sin you would ever commit, making you holy and without blame, in order to lavish on you even more of the riches of his magnificent grace.
He loved you with an everlasting love from his very first thought of you, and determined to pour out his grace on you through the gift of his own life, his indwelling Spirit, as the first installment of even more to come. In his love he planned to raise your body and glorify it making you an heir of everything there is in Christ, to rule over it and enjoy it as a co-heir with his Son forever!
He determined these things according to his purpose, the one who works everything according to his own will, for the eternal praise of his glory and grace. This was his decision, for his people, for his praise, for all eternity.
You, believer in Christ, are a blessed child of his love and eternal purpose — a child of his astonishing grace.
