Making God a Liar

Making God a Liar

Mankind has exchanged the truth of God for a lie and seems happy about it. Singing foolish songs like, “Cheers all around and love and smiles too, because we all make it to Heaven no matter what we do!” Worse that this, if possible, is that he calls God a liar even though He tells us the truth about sin—that it exists from birth (Psalm 51:5), that it has separated you from God (Isaiah 52:9), that it brings the wrath of God (Romans 1:18), that YOU have it (1 John 1:8,10) and that it can be forgiven (1 John 1:9).

But some accuse God of lying.

Those without sin don’t need a Savior and those who think they are sinless, have no Savior. The greatest deception is thinking that your sin doesn’t exist, and therefore God is pleased with you no matter what. Some will even teach, “Everybody goes to Heaven in the end! Would God really punish you for your sin?” The Bible teaches that God most certainly will punish those who sin. But hear this!

God is faithful and merciful to forgive the sins of those who admit them, but not the sins of those who deny that they have them.

Are you a confessor or denier? Not everyone receives forgiveness for sins—only confessors, only believers, only those who lay their sin down upon Jesus—not the one who says, “I have no sin.”
